Ingredients

1 can organic black beans 

1 cup dry organic tricolor quinoa (washed until water runs clear)

1 and 1/2 cups chicken bone broth (or vegetable broth for a vegan option) plus 1/4 cup for the beans 

1/4 teaspoon Paprika

1/8 teaspoon Cumin

1/8 teaspoon Chili powder

1/4 teaspoon Onion powder

1/4 teaspoon Garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste 

Instructions 

1. Add broth and quinoa to a pot and bring to a boil

2. Lower to a simmer for 15 minutes or until the broth is completely absorbed

3. While the quinoa and broth are simmering, add the beans to a saute pan with the 1/4 cup of broth turn on to medium high 

4. Add all the spices

5. Add salt and pepper to taste

6. Turn to medium and allow to heat through while stirring occasionally

7. Once the quinoa is done, fluff it with a fork and taste

8. Add salt and pepper as needed

9. Combine the beans and quinoa

10. Serve and enjoy!
